▋PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Semi-graphite petroleum coke is calcined petroleum coke as raw material, calcined petroleum coke placed in graphitization fur-nace,
after 2200℃-2500℃ high temperature graphitization, fixed carbon is high, fast dissolution speed, high absorption rate, moderate
sulfur content, physical and chemical reaction and sulfur removal ash and other impurities after the product, cost-effec-tive, is a
commonly used additive in casting and steelmaking.

▋PRODUCTION PROCESS

The production process of Semi-graphite petroleum coke is to reduce the impurities in the low carburizing agent at a high tem-perature of
2200℃-2500℃, so as to improve the carbon content and reduce the sulfur content ≤0.3%.
▋APPLICATION AREAS
With the characteristics of "Stable quality, Fast absorption rate, High absorption rate", Semi-graphite petroleum coke is widely used in
industry and casting industry. It can greatly reduce the production cost of enterprises and reduce the dosage of carburizing agent.
It is made from low-sulfur CPC through high-temperature graphitization treatment at 2200-2500℃. The degree of graphitization is moderate
(partially ordered crystal structure), with fixed carbon content of 98.5%-99.8%, sulfur content ≤0.05%-0.3%,
and nitrogen content ≤200ppm. It has the characteristics of moderate reactivity, low sulfur and low nitrogen, and good electrical conductivity.
Its cost performance is between that of CPC and full-graphite petroleum coke.
1. Gray Cast Iron/Ductile Cast Iron Melting
This is the core application area of GPC (Graphite Petroleum Coke). During the cast iron melting process, gpc are used to adjust the
carbon content of the molten iron to ensure the mechanical properties of the castings (such as hardness and wear resistance).

Gray Cast Iron Compatibility: The moderate reactivity of GPC prevents the excessively rapid dissolution or precipitation of carbon
in the molten iron, reducing the formation of white cast iron structures. It is suitable for gray cast iron parts such as machine tool beds,
engine blocks, and pipe fittings.

Ductile Cast Iron Compatibility: Low-sulfur, low-nitrogen GPC avoids sulfur interfering with the spheroidizing agent's effect, ensuring
the graphite spheroidization effect. It is suitable for mid-to-high-end ductile cast iron parts such as automotive wheel hubs, crankshafts,
and agricultural machinery drive shafts.
2. GPC in Medium-Frequency Furnace Steelmaking

In the smelting of ordinary carbon steel and low-alloy steel in small and medium-sized medium-frequency furnaces, GPC can be used as
a carbon additive to precisely adjust the carbon content of the molten steel. Its low-sulfur characteristics can reduce the risk of excessive
sulfur content in the molten steel.
Suitable applications: Steel for engineering machinery, steel for automotive parts, steel for standard parts, etc.
3. Casting Modifier (Improves Casting Structure)

In cast iron smelting, GPC can be used as an auxiliary material for inoculants to refine graphite grains, improve the metallographic structure
of castings, and enhance the impact resistance and machinability of castings.
4. Ferroalloy refining auxiliary material

In the refining process of high-purity ferroalloys (such as high-purity ferrosilicon and ferrovanadium), GPC can be used as a low-carbon
reducing agent to reduce the oxygen content in the ferroalloy while avoiding the introduction of excessive impurities.
